Latest Statement — 14 Years Since Independence

Date: July 9, 2025

As South Sudan marks 14 years since independence, the South Sudan Youth Reforms (SSYR) calls on all young people to reflect on our country’s state — one still plagued by poor infrastructure, weak institutions, and unhealed wounds from past conflicts.

We believe the future of our nation depends on young people stepping forward with courage and unity. It’s time to build a country where peace, education, justice, and opportunity are not just slogans — but real, lived experiences for every citizen.

“We are the generation that must break the chains of division and silence. It starts with us.”

📢 Upcoming: Youth Peace Forum — Juba (Aug 2025)

SSYR will host a gathering of reform-minded youth in Juba to discuss institutional reform, national reconciliation, and youth-led accountability. Stay tuned!
